The 3rd Annual Conference, “Trauma and the Role of the Care Team in the Road to Recovery,” was held in October of 2016. In preparation of the rollout of Children’s Health Home Services, the conference divided its focus between children and adult services. Our keynote speaker, Craig A. Miller, spoke of his heart-wrenching suicide attempt and his journey back to gaining control of his life.
The New York State Department of Health provided an overview of the “Future of the Health Home Program and Rollout of Children’s Services.” The conference wrapped up with an insightful and interesting training session, “Trauma, Resilience and Brain Development,” by Dr. Joanne M. Joseph and Dr. Stephen Eadline.
